Two accuracy measures have been computed:
- Accuracy 1: The percentage of correct tempi, in BPM, within 4% accuracy.
- Accuracy 2: The percentage of correct tempo, in BPM, within 4% accuracy,
considering half, double, three times and 1/3 of ground-truth
tempo as correct.
This was motivated by the fact that, in the words of their very authors,
tempo induction state-of-the-art algorithms commonly
suffer confusions of metrical levels.
In addition, the 2 previous accuracy measures have been computed on
part of the test data (the song excerpts) distorted by several processes: downsampling/resampling,
gsm encoding/decoding, filtering, volume change, addition of
reverberation and white noise (with a signal-to-noise ratio of 20 dB).
