TEI 2013 Conference at the UPF

03.08.2011

TEI 2013, the Seventh International Conference on Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interaction, will be held at the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona (Spain), in February 2013.

TEI is an international conference dedicated to present the latest results in tangible, embedded, and embodied interaction. The work presented at TEI addresses HCI issues, design, interactive art, user experience, tools and technologies, with a strong focus on how computing can bridge atoms and bits into cohesive interactive systems. The intimate size of this single-track conference provides a unique forum for exchanging ideas and presenting innovative work through talks, interactive exhibits, demos, hands-on studios, posters, art installations and performances.

The conference will be co-chaired by Sergi Jordà and Narcis Parès (both from Pompeu Fabra University), with the collaboration of many international researchers in the field, including Martin Kaltenbrunner (Kunstuniversität Linz, Austria), David Kirk (University of Newcastle, UK), Paul Marshall (University of Warwick, UK), Alvaro Casinelli (University of Tokyo, Japan), Tom Moher (University of Illinois at Chicago, USA), Yvonne Rogers (Open University, UK) and Bill Verplank (Stanford University, USA).

With a diverse group of organizers and institutions, the excellence of Pompeu Fabra's venues and facilities, and the well-known charms of the city of Barcelona, we believe we will be able to offer one of the most exciting TEI conferences yet!

See you in Barcelona in February 2013!
