SIGMUS, SIGnal Analysis for the Discovery of Traditional MUSic Repertories, is a new project of the MTG funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. SIGMUS will last 36 months starting the 1st of February 2013 and will focus on the study of the melodic and rhythmic characteristics of Flamenco and Arab-Andalusian music repertoires by applying audio processing and semantic analysis methodologies.
